Jim Potter to Lead DSA

In yesterday’s general meeting Jim Potter of Minnesota was elected to the office of president of Deaf Seniors of America for next two years.  He had just completed his six-year term as a DSA board member.

Newcomer Mack Harris (Texas) was chosen to the office of the vice-president, and the secretary position was awarded to Nancy Kensicki (Maryland), who lost by mere six votes to another candidate.  The original winner was declared ineligible because she never attended at least one previous DSA conference as stipulated by DSA bylaws.

Treasurer Joe Rose (MD) was reelected to his post for the next four years.

Renwick Dayton (OR) was elected to serve a six-year term as a board member, replacing Potter.  Ronald Nomeland (MD), who was re-elected two years ago in Orlando, has four years remaining on the board.  The third board member, Barbara Schmidt (MN), has two years remaining.
